On this page, you will find answers to common questions about Burrel ID and Device ID.
General information about IDs
The Burrel ID or Device ID is required when adding a camera to the Burrel App. Both IDs consist of a total of twelve characters, which can be uppercase letters and/or numbers. The Device ID is unique to each camera and is formatted as XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.
Burrel ID
- Found on camera models Burrel S12 HD+SMS PRO (manufactured after September 2021), S22WA, N24, and E24.
- Created during the manufacturing process of these models and cannot be added later.
- Indicates the Burrel+ feature of the camera. These cameras can be best controlled remotely directly through the Burrel App.
Device ID
- Created for Burrel cameras that do not have a factory-created Burrel ID and are using the default server supported by the application.
- Generated by the Burrel App. The app creates the Device ID the first time the camera connects to the application using the default server. You can find more information here.
Note: The Burrel App cannot create a Device ID for older Burrel cameras, such as models S120 and S128. These cameras are added to the application as a camera of another brand.
Where to find the ID?
Burrel ID or Device ID is not displayed in the Burrel App or the camera settings. If either is lost, follow these instructions:
Burrel ID
- Found on the front cover of the quick setup guide included at the time of purchase.
- Found on a label attached to the camera (on the latest cameras).
Device ID
- Found via a link included with the image sent by the camera via email.
- Requires the camera to be updated to the latest firmware version and the use of the default server. You can find detailed instructions for obtaining the Device ID here.
If needed, contact Burrel technical support for assistance. You can create a support request here. Include the camera’s IMEI code in your request.
Note! Finding the Camera’s 15-digit Unique IMEI Code
- In the camera settings: SETUP or ON mode depending on the camera model -> Menu -> System submenu -> Information.
- On a label attached to the camera (not available on all models). The label's location varies by model.
- In the email, if the camera has directly sent an image or video to your email.
The ID is not working
If you try to register a camera in the Burrel App with its Burrel ID or Device ID and it fails, check the following:
- Has the ID been entered incorrectly?
Double-check that the ID is correctly entered. Be especially cautious with characters like O (uppercase letter), 0 (zero), I (uppercase letter), or 1 (one).
- Does the camera already have an owner?
A camera can only have one owner and can only be registered once to a single user at a time. Also, make sure you are logged into the Burrel App with the user account originally linked to the camera. If you want to use the application simultaneously on both your mobile and tablet, use the same username when logging in.
If the ID is correctly entered, the camera has not been previously registered to the Burrel App, and the ID still does not work, create a support request, so Burrel technical support can investigate the issue. You can create a request here. Remember to include the camera’s IMEI code in your request, as it is required for assistance.
