How do I remove camera sharing in the Burrel app?

Camera sharing can be cancelled at any time. The camera owner can remove sharing in the Burrel app, or a follower of a shared camera can stop following it. Removing a follower does not affect the rights of other users to the same camera.

The camera owner wants to remove camera sharing:

When a camera is shared, an orange icon appears on the right side of the Cameras submenu in the Burrel app (see picture 1, where the icon is circled).

  • Tap this icon.
  • A screen similar to Figure 2 will appear.

  • Tap the black arrow behind the user icons, circled on the right side of the example image (Picture 2).
  • Next, a management screen will appear showing all the people the camera is shared with (Picture 3).

  • Tap the red X next to the name of the person you want to remove from sharing.
  • The app will confirm whether you want to remove the sharing (Picture 4).

  • Confirm the removal by selecting "Remove".
  • Once the removal is successful, the selected person will immediately disappear from the shared camera management screen.
  • The removed user will instantly lose access to the shared camera and will no longer see any photos or videos from the camera – including past recordings.

A follower of a shared camera wants to stop following the camera:

In the Burrel app, go to the Cameras submenu using your user account and make sure “Shared with me” is selected. You will then see a view similar to Picture 5.

  • If you have multiple shared cameras, select the one you want to remove.
  • Gently tap the info box of the selected camera (see Picture 5, orange frame).
  • A view similar to the example image (Picture 6) will appear.

  • Tap the circled gear icon on the right side of the image to access the camera settings.
  • At the bottom of the settings, find the “Delete Device” row and tap the arrow on the right.
  • Confirm the removal of the shared camera by selecting "OK".
  • After this, the camera, along with any images and/or videos it has sent, will be removed from your user account.
