How do I transfer my camera to the Burrel app from another cloud service?

If your camera has been using a cloud service such as Seneram and you want to move it to the Burrel app, this article gives you quick instructions.

Adding the camera to the Burrel app

There are three ways to add a camera to the app. The right one depends on the camera model:

1. Burrel ID (or QR code) – Burrel cameras only

Models: SMS PRO (manufactured after September 2021), S22WA, N24, E24.

The ID is in the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. You can find it on the cover of the quick guide that came with the camera, or on the sticker attached to the camera.

2. Device ID – Burrel cameras only

Models: SMS PRO (manufactured before September 2021), Edge HD and newer SMS3.

The Device ID is in the email sent by the camera (the same email that contains the image), provided that a Device ID could be created for the camera. Click the link in the email to open the ID. The ID is in the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, just like the Burrel ID.

If you can't find the Device ID in the email sent by the camera, follow the steps in the section "Images are not arriving in the Burrel app" below (reset the camera's settings and update the camera).

If you still can't find the Device ID, add the SMS3 camera to the Burrel app as a camera of another brand.

3. Camera of another brand

Burrel camera models: SMS, SMS2 and older SMS3. Also applies to cameras from other manufacturers.

To add one of these cameras, select "Camera of another brand" in the app. The app then gives you a new email address. Save this address in the camera's sending settings so that the camera can send images to the app.

These brands are currently known not to support sending images by email, so they don't work with the Burrel app:

* Zeiss

* Spypoint

* Hunter

* Nordic Gamekeeper

* Senzor

Note: This list is not complete. There may be other brands on the market whose compatibility has not yet been confirmed.

Photos are not arriving in the Burrel app

If the camera is registered in the Burrel app but no images are arriving, do the following:

1. Reset the camera's settings

Burrel cameras:

SETUP (S22WA: ON) -> Menu -> System submenu -> Default : Enter -> OK.

Next, check the following settings on the camera:

SETUP (S22WA: ON) -> Menu -> Wireless submenu ->

SendMode: Instant

SendVia: Internet (selecting this shows the SMTP server settings. Don't change them; exit the menu with the Menu button)

SendTo: Email (select Burrel+ if it is available in the camera settings)

Email: enter the email address the camera should send images to (applies if you selected "SendTo: Email" in the previous step)

If the camera is a newer SMS PRO, S22WA, N24 or E24, finish by selecting "Upload settings" in the same submenu.

Finally, test that the camera works.

Other camera brands:

If needed, check the camera's user manual for how to restore the factory settings and the default server.
