Initial setup of the password for the camera (RED Directive)

Due to the new RED Directive, the use of a security code is mandatory.
 

This feature is already activated on your camera — you must set a security code before you can use the device.

 

Step 1: Power on the camera


Step 2: Set a password – Mandatory

  • Once the camera powers up, a prompt will appear on the screen asking you to create a password.

  • Set your desired password for the camera.
  • Do not use the code "000000" — the system will recognize it as too simple and reject it.
  • After setting the password, press the OK button.

Step 3: Add a Phone number for password recovery – Mandatory

  • After setting the password, you will be prompted to enter a phone number.

  • This number will be used in case you forget your password.
  • Enter the number in the format: 0401234567.
    • Only numeric digits are allowed — no letters or special characters.
  • After entering the recovery phone number, press the Menu button.
  • If the number displayed on the screen is correct, press the Menu button again to confirm.

Step 4: Write down the password

  • You will need the password to access the camera settings.
  • Write down the password and keep it in a safe location — do not store it with the camera!
  • Examples of secure storage locations:
    • Printed manual at home or in a locked drawer
    • Password manager app
    • Locked cabinet or file drawer

 Forgot your password?

  • When prompted for the password, press the Menu button (“Forgot password”).
  • Enter the recovery phone number you previously saved.
  • You will then be allowed to set a new password.

  • The camera is permanently locked.
  • You must send the device to non-warranty service for unlocking.
