Update 5.2.2025:


SMS2 and SMS:

A new firmware (FW) version for the camera has been released today, and the camera must now be updated. This new firmware version fixes the changed security settings on the server that caused the camera's transmission issues.


You can find the latest firmware version 2021/11/11 on our support site under the heading "Older Burrel Cameras". You can access the firmware update page here.


Under the same link, you will also find the update instructions. Follow the "How to update an older camera .bin-file" instructions for the update. Remember to restore the camera to its default settings after the update. If the default settings is not performed, the camera will retain the old settings and will not function despite the update. Upon request, we can send a pre-extracted update file via email. Please submit a support request through this link. Remember to specify what your request concerns.


We apologize for the additional inconvenience caused by the camera update and the delayed resolution of this transmission issue!

Update 31.1.2025:


Unfortunately, the issue with delivering images to the Burrel service and email remains partially unresolved, despite our administration team doing everything possible to fix it. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Below, you can find more detailed information based on the camera model. 


SMS3

Model S328/S328B, HW version 32XF, has been tested and confirmed to function normally with the latest available firmware (FW) version (dated 2021/11/23). Older FW versions do not work correctly. We recommend that owners of this camera model check their current FW version, and update it, if necessary. 


You can check the camera model, HW version, and current FW version in the camera settings as follows:  

SETUP -> Menu -> System submenu -> Information


If your camera has an older FW version, please update it. Firmware updates and instructions can be found on our support website in this link. Upon request, we can send a pre-extracted update file via email. In this case, please submit a support request using this link. In your request, remember to specify the issue and, if possible, include details about your camera model and HW version. 


If you are using an SMS3 camera with HW version 32XF, and the issue persists after updating the firmware, we ask you to submit a support request to Burrel technical support, so that we can gather more information and investigate the issue further.


We also recommend that owners of the S328F model update their cameras to the latest firmware version.  

 

SMS2 and SMS  

The issue resolution is still ongoing for SMS and SMS2 cameras. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Update 24.01.2025:


We have been in contact with the service provider, and unfortunately, they have confirmed that the issue cannot be resolved on their end.


We are now exploring alternative ways to fix the problem, but unfortunately, the resolution will be delayed until next week.

Update 21.01.2025:


The investigation into the issue is still ongoing. Based on current information, the cause of the problem may be related to security changes on the SMTP server we use. We are actively working to find a solution and will provide further updates as soon as new information becomes available. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Update 20.01.2025: The issue may also affect other camera models. The problem is under investigation and will be resolved as soon as possible.

Dear Customers,


We are currently experiencing an issue with some Burrel SMS3 cameras, which prevents images from being delivered to the Burrel Application and email using the camera's default SMTP server (default settings). The camera displays error code 298.


The issue is known to us, and our team is actively investigating it. Unfortunately, the fix is expected to be delayed until next week.
